During the shut down

Roskilde Libraries is temporarily closed at the moment because of the corona virus until Tuesday further notice.

Self-service opening hours

There is no access to our libraries during the shut down and therefore loans, returns or other activity won't be possible in our libraries. Our online services are not shut down and we encourage our patrons to make use of these in the meantime. Read more about eBooks and digital ressources.

You can not returm anything while we are closed

When we open again, you will have 7 days to return your material without any charge. It is not possible to hand in material in the mailboxes during the weeks we are closed.

If you have reservations for pickup

When we open again, you will have 2 days to pick up your reservations.

If you want to reserve materials

You cannot during the shutdown reserve books on the website or in the Library app, nor can you book in Bibliotek.dk.

All events at all libraries are canceled throughout March and April

The libraries are working to find new dates for as many events as possible.
Keep up to date on which events in English are canceled or postponed in the calendar here.

You can register yourself as a new library user

To register you need your Nem-id and you need to:
1.    Be at least 18 years old
2.    Approve having read and accepted the library’s rules and fines

Please note it can take up to one hour before the registration is done.

When you are registered as a user, you can renew your loans, pause your reservations and pay fines. You can also use our online resources right away from home. That includes ereolen Global, Pressreader and RB Digital.
